Left turn lane for Neakahanie off of West Union

Good news for Rock Creek residents and visitors who use the West Union/Neakahnie entrance into our community.
After numerous accidents, close calls, lengthy waiting times because of long lines of cars at peak hours, and citizens reporting concerns to the county, a westbound left-turn lane from West Union Road onto Neakahnie Ave is in the works.
Washington County has started the first phase of a project to add a left-turn lane from westbound West Union Road to Neakahanie Avenue by relocating the utility poles at that intersection. Ramps and street lighting will also be added.

- Updated Construction finish (expected): Spring 2024
