"New" to the Corner of 185th and West Union in Rock Creek.  Rock Creek Corner has closed but has reopened as the Mad Greek Deli.  With Spring comes fresh starts and new beginnings.  Yes, the Mad Greek has made its return to the west side! Their parking lot has been full every day since they opened in March.  They offer both indoor and outdoor dining and have a full menu with delicious Greek food.  They have installed state-of-the-art pizza ovens, so they can also offer pizzas as well.  Click here to view the menu. 

 

The owners of the former Rock Creek Corner are pleased to have this popular, locally owned establishment come in and they know that this change will be wildly popular with not just the neighbors who remember the Mad Greek in its previous location across the street, but also those who are new to the area and will be discovering it for the first time.  The Mad Greek Deli has had another location downtown on West Burnside since 2011, but their original location on West Union which had been there for over 20 years closed in 2015 due to problems with the building. Current owner Jake Marks said opening a new restaurant in the Bethany area is the best way they can honor his best friend and late owner, Pondo Kosmas, who died unexpectedly in 2016. Many of the former Rock Creek Corner staff are part of the new operation and the woman who has maintained all of the lovely gardens, flowers and herbs for Rock Creek Corner, has also returned.
