Trash cleanup along Rock Creek Blvd
Posted on Oct 5th, 2017

At our last Volunteer Work Day, RCCA volunteers found a large mattress set hidden behind a grove of trees along Rock Creek Blvd this week during our Volunteer Clean Up on the area.  RCCA will report this to Washington County, so they can pick it up ASAP.  If you see individuals dumping items like this, please contact WC Sheriff's non-emergency number ASAP: 503-629-0111.  Such dumping is prohibited.

The contractor doing the widening of US 26 for ODOT is responsible for the complete cleanup of the area behind the new barrier wall they constructed, but that cleanup will probably not happen until the final stages of the construction project.  In the meantime RCCA Volunteers will continue to monitor the area and do periodic cleanups during our monthly Volunteer Work days.  Click here to read a letter from RCCA President, Shirley Toth, about the trash situation and the work that RCCA Volunteers are doing to help cleanup the area.
